Bill Strietmann loves a parade. Especially the Fourth of July parade in Leland Michigan. He and brother Pete have been riding their bicycles in the parade for over twenty years. Bill is proud of The United States, all of its people, and the freedom we enjoy.

Bill Strietmann grew up in Cincinnati. He graduated from Summit Country Day elementary school. Then following his father's and grandfather's tradition, attended The Asheville School, a boarding high school in North Carolina. He returned and graduated from Xavier University in 1977. At Xavier, he played soccer, earning three varsity letters, and rugby where he learned other things. He earned a BSBA in Management. He then took real estate courses at The University of Cincinnati and was licensed by the State of Ohio as a Salesman in 1978.

Bill apprenticed at Fred'k A. Schmidt, Inc. His uncle, Bill Grogan was his mentor. "Uncle Bill was respected by every commercial real estate broker in the city. He treated everyone with respect and kindness. And it opened doors for him. I loved going on appointments with him, his  knowledge of Cincinnati was unsurpassed." While at Fred'k A Schmidt, Bill sold and leased commercial and residential properties, wrote appraisals for estates, and managed property. Wanting new challenges, Bill teamed with his father-in-law, Ray Lutter, managing homes for transferred executives of P&G, General Electric, and other Cincinnati companies. "Ray helped me obtain my Brokers license. We never had a disagreement in the many years we worked together. I miss his advice." Bill fufilled a lifelong goal of opening his own company, Strietmann Realty, Inc., in 1994. Bill's office is located on Michigan Avenue, in Hyde Park. To see an example of his rehabbing skills, stop by.

"I am a small company that is flexible to the needs of my clients. I know what I can do effectively, and what is beyond my scope. If I can not provide exceptional professional service, I will refer you to someone who can. I am proud of the relationships that I have built with the other Brokers and Agents in our area. I consider myself fortunate to know so many good, qualified professionals in Cincinnati."

Bill Strietmann has many interests. He loves sports and physically related challenges. Most of all, he loves to coach. To date, he coached soccer and volleyball at St Ursula Villa grade school,  mens and womens rugby at Xavier University, and currently coaches lacrosse at Ursuline Academy (Freshman team) and Xavier University (Womens Head coach). "The enthusiasm of the kids recharges me. Their dedication and willingness to compete inspires my daily activities."

Another passion is Xavier basketball. Some may say that he goes a bit overboard in his zeal. Others say is is way overboard. Judge for yourself from the pictures below.

Bill has been active in community service. He has been on the Board of Directors of: The Hamilton County American Cancer Society, The Kidney Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, and First Step Home. He currently is on the Board of Directors of The Cincinati Foundation for the Aged.

Bill has served on the Presidents Advisory Board at Xavier University and is currently on the Parents Advisory Board. He is not shy about telling prospective students and parents that Xavier University is a wonderful opportunity. The emphasis on community involvement, respect of self and others, and quest for learning give young adults the grounding principals for successful, meaningful lives.
